Is content being relegated to mindless keyword stuffing?

Persuasive content is more influential than images when it comes to affecting buying decisions. Besides imparting knowledge in an interesting manner, content has the power to drive great traffic with a higher rate of conversions. But even a perfect content is worthless if it does not reach its target audience. This is where keywords come into play, facilitating the content to be consumed by much larger people through search engines.

Content, be it in the form of web content, blog or article is the staple for a website particularly for segregating yours from a myriad number of websites and making yourself count as an E-entrepreneur when a plethora of them are available on the click of mouse.

Keywords, no doubt, improve your search engine ranking but they could prove to be a double edged sword. Keywords, if not selected and used carefully, detract readers and result in a whopping bounce back rate as readers move away swiftly in absence of a professional and appealing content. It’s ironical that the same keywords that had drawn a potential customer onto your page, cause him to lose interest as soon as he goes through a couple of first lines, thereby nipping your leads in the bud.

1. Keywords should be imbibed in the content skilfully and creatively so as not to compromise its persuasiveness.

2. Use articles, latest news and other separate sections to incorporate more keywords. This way you’d be sharing your knowledge, insight and expertise which will earn you more credibility.

3. Use hyperlinks between the content for optimum benefits.
